Pubs in and around Doncaster will be celebrating the life and poetry of the Scottish poet Robert Burns by hosting Burns’ Week.

The Gate House in High Street, The Red Lion in Market Place, The Old Angel in Cleveland Street and The Old Market Hall in Market Street, Mexborough, will be serving haggis, neeps and tatties from Monday, January 19, to Sunday, January 25 (Burns Night).

Throughout celebrations there will also be food and drink with a Caledonian flavour. Gate House manager, Paul Sanderson, said: “Burns’ Week is always great fun and our customers enjoy the fact that we celebrate for a week rather than just one day.”
