An award winning pub in Old Denaby is lining up a series of events and initiatives as part of its Spring programme.
In November last year Manor Farm pub/restaurant beat off 75 hopefuls to clinch the Wacky Warehouse of the year at the Spirit Pub Company’s annual Best Awards and its manager Glen Simmonds says it is going from strength to strength.
Glen, who has been at the pub for only 11 months is making plans for a climbing wall fundraiser at the hostelry in Main Street, sometime next month – on a date to be arranged – to raise vital cash for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
He said: “This is something I did a few years ago when I ran the Rockingham Arms in Wentworth. Army soldiers will come down and set up the wall and we will charge people for climbing it and abseiling down it. All proceeds will go to hospice funds.”
