Hip hop dancers livened up the scene for shoppers in Doncaster’s Frenchgate Centre.

Dancers from Breakin’ Convention, the festival of hip hop dance theatre appearing at Cast on Saturday, May 10, gave an impromptu preview show outside the Debenhams store.

Hip hop dance groups Rationale and Street Beatz performed a range of dance styles from hip hop to street for about two hours.

DJs, dancers, demonstrations and workshops will also take over Cast in the ultimate celebration of hip hop culture, with free on the day activities from noon to 3pm in Sir Nigel Gresley Square outside Cast – and a pre-show event in Cast from 6pm.

Now in its 11th year, the popular Sadler’s Wells production opens in London next weekend prior to its Doncaster date.
