The culmination of a truncated ECB Yorkshire South Premier League season takes place at Wakefield Thornes on Saturday.

The reserve date, should it be required, is Sunday.

Both clubs finished top of their respective groups after administrators decided to geographically split the 12-team division into two pools as a result of the delayed start to the campaign.

Reigning league champions Doncaster go into the final on the back of their first defeat of the season, losing by 22 runs at Elsecar last weekend.

Having been put into bat the home side were restricted to a modest 135 all out.

George Cowan (4-26) impressed with the ball by claiming a four-wicket haul, while Duncan Heath took 3-15.

However, when Doncaster batted only James Stuart (38) offered prolonged resistance and Jason Meadows (5-21) bowled his side to victory with his second successive five-wicket haul.

Win-less Tickhill ended a disappointing campaign with a 58-run defeat at home to Treeton.

Treeton were asked to bat first and, after being 32-3, an 83-run fourth-wicket stand between Sam Drury (53) and Jack Simmonite (32) proved to be decisive as the visitors reached a respectable total of 164-8.

Josh Court recorded figures of 3-36 for Tickhill.

The home side could only muster 106 all out in response. Ben Birtles took three of the first five wickets to fall and, from 77-5, the last five wickets fell quickly.
