OLYMPIC hero Sarah Stevenson will be the guest of honour on Sunday as the Dons look to go the entire season unbeaten at home.
Club co-owner Carl Hall is keen to give the tae kwon do star a proper welcome back from London 2012 and has invited her to watch the newly-promoted Dons take on North Wales Crusaders in style at the Keepmoat.
Hall told the Free Press: “Sarah has shown she is a true hero, not just at this Olympics but for years now.
“She’s a treasure for the town of Doncaster and we’re determined to show her that.
“This will be Sarah’s first public appearance back home after the Olympics and we’re delighted she’s choosing to do it with us.
“She wants to support her town’s rugby team and we want to show how much support we have for her.
“She’s a real star.”
Sunday could prove to be a memorable day for the Dons who should make it nine wins out of nine at home this season to keep themselves in the Championship One title race.
Centre Lee Waterman is also just one try away from equalling the club record for most tries in a season.
The game kicks off at 3pm.
