Doncaster Toll Bar clinched the Pennine Amateur Rugby League Championship One title after coasting to a 50-6 win at King Cross Park.
Man-of-the-match Gaz Carey led the way with a hat trick of tries with former Dons and Sheffield Eagles’ star Peter Green bagging a brace.
Keiran Cross, Olly Dilley, Tom Brandham, Carl Oakes and Jack Horton also touched down for the Doncaster side who lost only one of their 20 league games.
Adam Jones (4) and Oakes kicked five goals between them.
“To win the league after being promoted as champions last year is a great feeling and the players have been fantastic all year and really deserve their success,” said coach Ian Tattersall.
“The game wasn’t as tough as we thought it was going to be and after a blistering start the result was never in doubt. To be able to relax and enjoy the moment was pleasing,
“I thought Gaz Carey was awesome - his tries were top class.
“To see 16-year-old prop Jack Horton cross for his first first team try was a special moment.”
He added: “I would like to thank every player who has contributed this season for their efforts and all the supporters for getting behind the team.
“I’d also like to praise the committee for their efforts running the club.”
n Toll Bar would like to recruit new players aged from six and upwards.
