It was another comfortable win in Division One of the Pennine League for Bentley ARLFC following a 32-8 victory against Ossett Trinity, writes Laura Tonge.

In a tight opening 15 minutes, Bentley opened their account with a try by Shaun Archer, converted by Craig Whincop.

Ossett replied moments later and the players were then called from the field as the weather worsened.

Following a short break, the players returned and Bentley scored two further tries through Marty Hall and Scott Smith. One conversion by Whincop left the half time score at 16-4.

In a scrappy second half, Bentley were always in control as they scored three further tries through Chris Hemmings, Johnny Marshall and Josh Richards. Two conversions were added by Whincop.

Ossett touched down once more as the final score read 32-8.

Bentley are at home this Saturday to table-topping Illingworth, of Halifax (2.30pm).
