Danum Eagles got their Division Three campaign off to a solid start by cruising to a 66-51 win over Team Birmingham.
Mathew Martin continued his excellent early-season form by top scoring with 20 points.
Eagles are going in search of back-to-back promotions after bursting onto the National League scene last year.
Team Birmingham were in a confident mood but that proved to be short lived as the Eagles rushed into an early lead on the back of an explosive start from Josh Metcalf, who connected on two early three-pointers to establish an 11-4 lead.
By the time the buzzer sounded to end the first half, the Eagles had opened up a commanding 43-24 lead and looked in complete control.
A more subdued second half performance was briefly lifted by a Martin dunk on the fast break and saw Team Birmingham close the gap slightly.
However, the Eagles were never worried and the scoring of Oliver Hylands in the fourth quarter ensured that their promotion challenge got off to a bright start.
