Cycle star Connor Swift has raced to victory in two of his latest road races.

The 17-year-old took the win in the Group A category of the North Midlands road race - an event which saw two riders having to go to hospital following a crash.

Swift, riding for Bikeboxalan, and competitor James Baillie opened up a large gap away from the pack with three laps to spare but the Moorends sprint specialist proved too strong when it mattered and claimed the win.

The Thorne Trinity Academy pupil was back in action for the Clifton Road Race where he lined up against a youthful field.

The 58-strong group took to the roads along the Milby circuit in North Yorkshire.

Each lap saw at least two riders trying to make a breakaway from the main group but the blustery conditions made progress difficult.

On the last two laps, Steve Coates and Richard Moore gained 22 seconds over the main group but some of the stronger riders were not letting them get any further.
