Doncaster Town will play host to the ECB Yorkshire League’s T20 Finals Day on Sunday.
The host club failed to reach the semi-finals but the day will still provide plenty of thrills and spills as four of the region’s top clubs battle it out in the popular short format of the game.
The action gets underway at Town Field at 10am when York face Barnsley.
At 1pm Harrogate meet Cleethorpes in the second semi-final.
The final is scheduled to start at 4.30pm.
Doncaster Town Cricket Club chairman Steve Ward said: “I hope that we have a very enjoyable day and the weather plays its part.
“Food will be available for players and officials after each of the semi-finals.
“Food will also be available to purchase all day from 9am and, of course, the bar will be open as usual.
“Car parking will be available around the ground and club officials will be on hand to fascilitate this.”
The winner will go on to represent the Yorkshire League in the next stage of the National Club T20 Championship.
n Doncaster Town Ladies went down by 75 runs to Sessay in their latest Yorkshire League Division Two clash.
Jess Watson (69), Hannah Greenwood (34), Abi Glen (64no) and Eve Perrin (49no) all impressed with the bat as Sessay set Doncaster a very competitive target of 238 to win.
Bev Nicholson (77) and Michelle Styring (55) then led the charge with a superb opening stand of 128.
However, once the pair had been dismissed Town’s innings collapsed to 162-9.
