Doncaster Rovers Belles will have to wait to see if their appeal against the FA’s ‘relegation’ has been successful.
Belles vice chairman Alan Smart and a legal team met with FA officials yesterday in the capital to go through the club’s reasons as to why they should be reinstated to WSL1 next season - after the footballing body demoted the side in favour of Manchester City Ladies.
However, the Doncaster club - who are the only ever-presents in the top flight - will have to wait for a final decision after the hearing was concluded yesterday.
An FA spokesman said that the “Independent Appeals Panel will come back with a decision and written reasons for that decision in due course, as soon as possible”.
However, he added that there was “no timeline on this for the moment”.
