Even a mid-afternoon monsoon failed to stop play as Doncaster Rovers and Doncaster Town renewed rivalries in the annual Twenty20 cricket contest.
Town gained revenge for their surprise defeat last year with a comfortable 71-run victory against a youthful Rovers team, which did include chairman John Ryan and first teamers Tommy Spurr and James Husband.
But the event as a whole was the winner as players and spectators refused to let a bit of rain get in the way of a good afternoon out.
Rising star Charlie Allen stroked 95 not out for the hosts in a total of 195-4.
That score proved to be beyond Rovers, although not before Spurr (35) and team analyst Adam Smith (31) caught the eye with some impressive strokeplay.
As per usual, Rovers players happily mingled with the Town Field crowd and a post-game raffle raised funds for the host club.
