NCEL suspended again despite Yorkshire's Tier 3 status
The league called another halt to proceedings following today’s government review of the Covid-19 tier restrictions and in spite of Yorkshire and The Humber’s Tier 3 status.
The NCEL was previously suspended on November 30 until January but then resumed on December 19 as a result of spectators being allowed back into matches in Tier 3 areas.

"It follows the latest Government's COVID-19 tier review that has seen a number of our clubs placed in the highest Tier 4 restriction that forbids non-elite football.
"The decision also takes into account the rapidly rising number of COVID-19 cases across the league's footprint.
"The resumption of the league will be pending the outcome of the next tier review which is due on 13th January, 2021.”
