Rovers are unlikely to delve into the market, but have the option of signing free agents outside the window should they require any additional depth or cover.
But which players are available as free agents? We take a look at some of the exciting options that Darren Moore could yet pursue should he wish to seek new recruits:
5. BEN ALNWICK
Phil Parkinson revealed that Alnwick was training with the Sunderland after leaving Bolton Wanderers. Whether he remains there is unknown, but the stopper could prove an option if Rovers need to dip into the market. Photo: Nathan Stirk
6. ALAN SHEEHAN
Released by Luton Town on deadline day, Sheehan has a wealth of League One experience and helped the Hatters to promotion last season. His set-piece delivery can prove a vital weapon. Photo: Pete Norton
7. EFE AMBROSE
If Rovers need experience at the back, they need look no further than Ambrose - whose spells with Hibernian, Celtic and Derby County saw him make over 250 appearances. He’s got international experience with Nigeria, too. Photo: Mark Runnacles
8. BRADLEY WRIGHT-PHILLIPS
Largely unproven in the English leagues, Wright-Phillips has an eye-catching record in the MLS - and is now a free agent after leaving New York Red Bulls. Could a return to home shores prove appealing? Photo: Maddie Meyer
