Here is how we rated Rovers’ individual performances at Ewood Park.
1. Josef Bursik 6
A steady performance from Rovers’ new keeper on his debut as he pulled off some routine saves. He perhaps afforded Holtby a little too much room to aim at with his successful free kick but overall it was a pleasing first appearance. Photo: Howard Roe/ahpix.com
2. Brad Halliday 6
A good attacking outlet for Rovers, as he typically is. And he defended well too, in the main. But his challenge on Amari’i Bell was a poor one that conceded the penalty which Blackburn went back in front from. Photo: Andrew Roe/AHPIX LTD
3. Joe Wright 7
A commanding display at the back from Wright who dealt well with the first half pressure from Blackburn and helped to ensure it wasn’t converted into chances on goal. Photo: Gareth Williams/AHPIX LTDJPIMedi
4. Tom Anderson 7
Like Wright he was a tower of strength, heading away and blocking everything as Blackburn pushed forward, particularly in the first half. Photo: Marie CaleyJPIMedia
