Stocksbridge Park Steels and Sheffield FC were happy travellers returning with all three-points from away trips.

Steels are the top of the Evo-Stik Division One South with maximum points from three games after coming from a goal down to win 2-1 at newly promoted Basford United. Rob McCormick gave the home side a half-time lead and Steels were further when goalkeeper Sam Andrew failed to come through concussion after colliding with the post, sub keeper David Reay taking his place.

Stocksbridge equalised on 69 minutes as second half sub Richard Patterson headed in Danny Critchlow’s cross. Reay saved a penalty and a minute from time Adam Hinclcliffe’ hit the winner with a 30-yard thunderbolt that went in off the underside of the bar.

Andy Kiwoyma gained his first competitive win as Sheffield FC manager with a 3-1 victory at Chasetown thanks to an impressive opening 45 minutes which saw them 3-0 up. Conor Glavin and Shaq McKenzie scored the first two with Benny Igi-Ehon asdding the third following a penalty awarded after McKenzie was brought down. Igi-Ehon saw his spot kick blocked by Bateman but reacted quickly to thump home the follow-up.

Chasetown pulled a goal back through Paul Sullivan.

Shaw Lane Aquaforce took their unbeaten start to three games with a routine 3-0 win over Romulus with second half goals from Rhys Meynell, Stefan Holt and a James Eyles two minutes from time.

In the Premier Division, Frickly Athletic fought back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Sutton Coldfield Town to earn their fist point of the season.

The home side were in front after just two minutes before adding a second a minute from the break. The Blues reduced the arrears on 73 minutes with substitute Tyler Williams racing clear to place his shot past the keeper justs moments after coming off the bench.

With time running out Frickley grabbed the equaliser in the 89th minute, John Cyrus tucking from close range after a deep cross had been nodded down.

Niall McManus pounced in the 89th minute to give Matlock Town a 1-0 home win over Whitby Town, while Buxton went down 1-0 to a stoppage time goal at unbeaten Blyth Spartans.
