Doncaster Belles Under 18s won the Sheffield & Hallamshire Girls County Cup to complete a league and cup double.
Goals from Caitlin Gunnell and Lori Hudson saw off Huddersfield Town Ladies in the final and rounded off an impressive season.
Hudson went close to breaking the deadlock with a 25-yard shot that struck the crossbar and Libby Challinor fired just wide as Doncaster dominated for large spells in the first half without finding a breakthrough.
The second period saw the Belles introduce more pace in attack and it paid dividends when substitute Gunnell’s long range effort looped over the keeper for the opening goal.
Town responded well but the Belles’ defence and midfield held firm, before they doubled their lead with ten minutes remaining when the Huddersfield goalkeeper failed to hold onto a shot and Hudson pounced to slot home.
Belles held on to lift a trophy for the second time in the space of a month after remaining unbeaten to win the Sheffield & Hallamshire Girls County League.
Player of the match was awarded to Amber Warren for her solid display in defence.
