Staff at Doncaster Rovers last night remained in the dark over the identity of the club’s next permanent boss.
An announcement had been expected yesterday on who had won the race to be crowned the next boss.
But the Star understands that staff at Rovers’ Cantley Park training ground yesterday still had not been informed about an appointment.
No arrangements had been made for the club’s usual pre-match press conference, which typically takes place on Thursday lunchtimes.
It is understood the club hope to combine pre-match media duties with a press conference to unveil their new manager.
However that now appears more likely to come on Friday, just 24 hours prior to the League One clash with Bradford City at the Keepmoat.
In their final statement on the recruitment process, Rovers said the new manager would be in place for the match with the Bantams.
Interim boss Rob Jones has overseen preparations for Saturday’s game this week.
