Paul Dickov will send his players out at Crawley tonight with a simple message - prove Walsall was a blip.

Rovers were poor in defeat to fellow play-off chasers Walsall at the Keepmoat, ending a seven match unbeaten run in League One.

Dickov insists his players will have the benefit of the doubt heading into the visit to struggling Crawley as he opts to focus on the positives of the last two months

“You will get a poor performance every now and then,” Dickov said. “Every team does it, especially at this level. We’ve just got to make sure we keep it to a minimum.

“We have put the weekend to bad. I always say you have to draw a line under a win and move on and it applies to defeats and poor performances as well.

“With 19 games left, we’re not going to play well in every single game.

“So we might get another performance or two like that but as long as they’re few and far between as they have been recently, I’ll take that.

“We’ve got to concentrate on the positives because there’s been a lot of good things in the last few months.

“We’ve got to quickly get back to doing those positive things.”

Rovers will give a late fitness test to striker Uche Ikpeazu who is struggling with a hamstring strain.

James Coppinger and Luke McCullough have both been ruled out.
