David Cotterill has been drafted into the Wales squad due to several withdrawals, including the world’s most expensive player Gareth Bale.
Wales face their final two World Cup qualifiers, hosting Macedonia in Cardiff on Friday before travelling to Group A leaders Belgium the following Tuesday.
Cotterill last played for Wales in May 2011.
Celtic’s Joe Ledley, Liverpool’s Joe Allen and Brighton’s Andrew Crofts have joined Real Madrid’s Bale in withdrawing from Chris Coleman’s squad.
A further four Rovers players will be on international duty after today’s game with Leicester.
Theo Robinson has been called up for Jamaica’s World Cup qualifiers against USA and Honduras.
Luke McCullough has been selected for Northern Ireland U21s for the European Championship qualifiers with Belgium and Serbia.
And youth team graduate Evan Finnegan is on the stand-by list for Republic of Ireland U19s for the European Championship qualifying tournament in Sweden between October 10-15.
Dean Furman has been selected for South Africa for the friendly away in Morocco next Friday.
He will report back for Rovers training the following Monday.
