Andy Williams believes Doncaster Rovers’ impressive run of form away from home shows just how confident the squad currently is.

Rovers are five unbeaten on the road, a run which has brought three wins and draws at promotion chasing sides Coventry City and Burton Albion.

They head to Southend this afternoon on the hunt for a sixth consecutive away game without and buoyed by victory at Oldham on Monday.

“I think it shows the sign of the confidence we’ve got in the group at the moment,” Williams said.

“And it’s the disappointment we’ve felt from defeats that needs to be there.

“Even when we were winning at Oldham there was some disappointment that we didn’t win more comfortably. It shows that we’ve still got more in the tank.

“It’s important we keep pushing ourselves in order to win games.”

Harry Forrester says he is determined to prove himself at Rangers after finding himself on the fringes at Rovers following Darren Ferguson’s appointment as manager.

Forrester made only two sub appearances under Ferguson before joining Rangers, reuniting with Mark Warburton whom he worked under at Watford and Brentford.

He said: “The last few months haven’t gone too well but I know Mark believes in me and I’m coming here to prove him right.”
