Kasia Lipka “fully deserves” her call-up to the England Under-23 squad, according to Belles legend Gill Coultard.
Lipka is currently in La Manga for a ten-day training camp ahead of fixtures with Sweden, China and USA.
The camp is being led by Belles director of football Julie Chipchase.
And former England captain Coultard says the midfielder fully merits her place in the squad.
“I’m delighted to see Kasia Lipka has been selected for the England under-23s squad,” Coultard told Belles’ official website.
“I sent her a message to say congratulations and she fully deserves her selection.
“Kasia is one of those players you want to do well because she’s a nice girl who just wants to get her head down and play football. She reminds me a lot of a player I played alongside called Becky Easton.
“Becky used to cover the pitch and do a lot of things that some people might not have noticed at the time but without her in the team, we were worse off for it.
“You could tell when she was missing, she was a crucial link in the set-up and you needed her in the team.
“That’s exactly how the Belles must feel about Kasia, she makes everyone’s jobs around her that bit easier.
“International selection will do her confidence the world of good and with Chippy leading the training camp, Kasia will have a familiar face there to help her progress.”
