Bitter blow for Joe Wright as severity of Doncaster Rovers defender's injury is revealed

The centre half fell awkwardly in a clash with Peterborough United’s Ricky-Jade Jones last weekend and needed to be stretchered off the pitch.
Assessment of the injuries have confirmed that the 26-year-old will be out until February next year at the earliest.

Hide AdWright will reach the end of his current Rovers deal this summer, with talks over his future due to continue after the end of the campaign.
Rovers have pledged to see the defender back to fitness and will finance surgery and treatment as he begins his recovery.
Talks are set to take place between Rovers and Wright’s representatives over the coming months to plot his future following his return to fitness next year.
For now, he has been formally released by Rovers.
Wright has just completed his fifth season with Rovers and has made 157 appearances.
