Organisers hope the fourth annual Doncaster Business Cup will raise £10,000 for local cancer charity Firefly.

The annual football match between Team Plant, managed by David Plant of Moirae Creative Agency, and Team Rogers, managed by Gary Rogers of RH Recruiting, takes place this Saturday at the Keepmoat Stadium (3pm).

The two teams are made up of local business owners who have each paid £250 to play at the Keepmoat.

This year’s game is being played in memory of Denise Dunn, Firefly’s founder who recently lost her battle with cancer.

Event founder David Plant said: “I’m really looking forward to this year’s event.

“I was deeply saddened when Denise passed away earlier this year and would be delighted if we can raise as much money as possible in her honour.”

Tickets for Saturday’s game are priced £3.
