Doncaster Knights have signed Bristol centre Nick Carpenter on dual registration until the end of the season.
The 22-year-old has been brought in after Mat Clark suffered a season-ending ankle injury against Ealing Trailfinders earlier this month.
Carpenter represented England at U18 and U19 levels.
Knights director of rugby Clive Griffiths said: “We are delighted to bring in a player with Nick’s experience at such short notice.
“Friday is the deadline for any player movements and with Clarky going down we needed to reinforce the midfield. Nick became available from Bristol and they’ve kindly let us have him to fill the void.
“He knows the Championship well and has been involved in a Premiership set-up all season and we are very happy to have him in our ranks.”
