Mat Clark will make his first start for Doncaster Knights since October in today’s vital derby clash with Yorkshire Carnegie at Castle Park (2.30pm).
The influential centre returns against his former club after undergoing shoulder surgery earlier in the season.
Tom Davies also returns from a lengthy injury lay-off to take his place among the substitutes, while Paul Jarvis has recovered from a calf strain and starts at full back.
Tongan duo Tomasi Palu and Ume Fosita will link up at nine and ten for the first time.
Doncaster’s last league win came against Carnegie back in September. They have lost nine league games on the spin.
Despite their promising start to the season, which saw them win three of their first four games, Knights go into the reverse fixture knowing they now face a big battle to retain their Championship status.
Bottom club Plymouth Albion last week confirmed they had avoided the threat of going into administration and then subsequently defeated Rotherham Titans to move within three points of the Knights.
Knights starting XV: Jarvis, Flockhart, Bulumakau, Clark, Lewis, Fosita, Palu, List, Hunter, Quigley, Hotson, Phelan, Challinor, Hills, Shaw.
