Doncaster Knights have confirmed pre-season friendlies with Hull RFC, Sedgley Park and Blaydon.
Clive Griffiths’ men first game of the 2015/16 season will be at National Three side Hull RFC on Saturday, August 15.
They will then welcome ambitious National Two North outfit Sedgley Park to Castle Park on August 22, before hosting National One side Blaydon on August 29.
“The Hull fixture is a reciprocal arrangement from 2013 that didn’t happen last year,” said Griffiths.
“With Gary Pearce now in charge there and the close partnership we have with the Club we have decided to combine the fixture with our pre-season training weekend.
“I know they have aspirations of bouncing straight back into National Two and are investing plenty of time into their squad so it should be an ideal game to kick off with and blow away the cobwebs.”
“Sedgley are very ambitious to get into National One next season and will arrive at Castle Park wanting to prove their credentials,” he added.
“And Blaydon are always tough and will provide a serious challenge before the season begins in earnest. They will be strengthened by loan players but also have some damn good players themselves.
“All three sides may be playing below Championship level but they are all very enthusiastic for the fixtures and ambitious about the upcoming season.
“It’s great to have secured two home fixtures and I’m delighted that the home supporters will get a couple of opportunities to see us before the league begins.
“I am extremely grateful to both Sedgley and Blaydon for taking the fixtures and travelling to Castle Park.”
