An important milestone in the creation of a new facility for young people in Conisbrough and Denaby has been reached.
A topping out ceremony was held to celebrate the completion of the highest part of the areas’s new Myplace building.
The new centre is part of Doncaster Council’s £5 million myplace project which will see two new facilities built for youngsters in Conisbrough and Denaby as well as Bentley.
The project is funded by the Big Lottery Fund (BIG).
Mayor of Doncaster Peter Davies, Conisbrough and Denaby councillor Christine Mills, council officers and young people gathered for the traditional ceremony that dates back centuries and is designed to bring new buildings good luck.
Youngsters have had a say in the design of the building due to open in July.
