Dearne MP John Healey is backing Macmillan Cancer Support by hosting a fund raising coffee morning.
The event will be part of the wider ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ in which organisations and charities are asked each year to host fund raisers in support of the charity.
The Labour politician is inviting residents into his constituency office on Wath High Street on Friday, September 27, from 10am to noon.
Mr Healey said: “I know many local people have personal experience of the problems a cancer diagnosis can bring to patients and their family, and I know that Macmillan has been there to support many of those in need.
“So I am hosting another coffee morning at my office and everyone is welcome to come along.
“It’s always a great event which is extremely well-supported. Local people are very generous.”
As well as tea, coffee and cakes there will be stalls, a raffle and a tombola.
Any donations would be gratefully received and can be dropped off at the office Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. For more details phone 01709 875943.
