He said: “We arrived at work in the morning to start operating as a takeaway and there was mud going all the way up to the top floor and the slabs had beed lifted and debris was everywhere.
"At first we thought it was a burst water pipe. But upon entering the building, we had no power so I phoned National Grid and they went to a sub station and changed a fuse.
"We then phoned Yorkshire Water who came out and lifted up a grate to discover a electrical cable that had exploded at around 7:03 in the morning.

Other businesses hit by the blast included photo store Max Spielmann and gaming shop Cool Spot.
Work has been carried out to repair the damage caused by the explosion.
