The years were rolled back to the 1940s at the weekend as a Doncaster area town marked the 70th anniversary of the end of World War Two.
Thorne hosted a 1940s Weekend to mark the the milestone celebrating Victory in Europe Day in 1945.
The two day spectactular featured a host of music, re-enactments and many other events from the era across a host of venues in the town.
The party also included performances from 40s styled acts Land Girls, Marina Mae, Ruby Macintosh and Scarlett.
There were also songs from The George Formby Experience, Don Gentile, The Armthorpe Elmfield Band, Lone Piper and Elsie Dene.
In addition, there were also appearances from local dance troupes, Punch and Judy, a funfair, live re-enactments and the Pontefract Home Guard.
Other attractions included a Thorne 1940s pin-up competition, classic vehicles as well as live entertainment at Willaspoons, The Harlequin, The Fair Green Hotel, The Punchbowl and Thornensians RUFC.
To complete the line-up there were workshops, singalongs, dress-up, dance groups and a huge military parade through the town centre.
