VIDEO: Stolen digger used in Doncaster cashpoint ramraid attack

A stolen heavy duty digger was used in an audacious raid on a cash point in a Doncaster area village.

The digger was used to attack the Co-op store in Blyth in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The offenders escaped with a safe in a Toyota Hilux, police have confirmed.

The contents of the safe are currently unknown.

Detectives are now investigating after burglars used the plant equipment to lift the ATM out of the front of the shop at around 3.30am on High Street.

The excavation vehicle and cash machine were left abandoned at the scene. The store currently remains closed.

Anyone with information should contact Worksop CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously.
