A COMPANY which runs a school for autistic children has been named the region’s top employer.
The Hesley Group, which operates Fullerton House School in Denaby, was recognised as the Yorkshire and North East Regional Employer of the Year at the Skills Training Academy’s STAR Awards 2012.
The accolade is recognition for the firm’s apprenticeship scheme, which has only been running since November 2011 yet already has the largest number of apprenticeships within the area for the sector.
A spokesperson for the company said: “We are thrilled to have won this prestigious award for a scheme we’re extremely passionate about, We take staff learning and development very seriously.”
The presentation was made at a dinner in Bolton with more than 200 attendees.
