Women in Doncaster are being urged to grab their last chance to enter Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life - with just two weeks left to sign up.
The event will take place at Town Field on Wednesday, June 19, and more than 1,500 women have already signed up for the race.
Entries will close on 16 June and organisers are encouraging mums, daughters, grannies, sisters, friends and workmates who want to take part in the 5k women-only event to sign up at raceforlife.org as soon as possible.
Sarah Threadgall, event manager for Race for Life in Yorkshire said: “We are absolutely thrilled that so many women have entered Race for Life in Doncaster. But we still have places left so we are urging women to sign up as soon as possible.”
In 2012, 2,264 women took part in Race for Life in Doncaster and helped raise an incredible £152,250 for Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work. This year, the charity hopes the 1555 who have entered will hit a fundraising target of £180,000.
Particpants can enter this year’s Race for Life at raceforlife.org or by calling 0845 600 6050.
