Thousands enjoy music festival in city gardens

The annual Music in the Gardens event returned to the Botanical Gardens for its 12th year at the weekend '“ entertaining thousands of people .

Among artists which performed over the four nights were The Feeling, UB40, James and Sheffield Philharmonic Orchestra.

The festival started as a small, live music concert, organised by the Rotary Club of Sheffield to raise funds for local charities, but over the years its popularity has grown.

To date, it has raised more than £220,000 for local, national and international charities, and is known across the UK.
