Thought of the Week

We gave him an Easter Egg to take home with him to enjoy on Easter Day.

He obviously didn’t have enough room to pack it because within a few minutes of receiving it, he had eaten the whole lot even though Easter was over a week away. His excuse was, “I love chocolate”.

It reminded us of an Easter Morning over 20 years ago. We didn’t know quite how much chocolate Jonathan had eaten until he vomited right at the beginning of the main prayers in the Easter Morning Service!

The big difference between those two events is that nowadays, the Easter Day Service is much more important than any amount of chocolate. Jonathan understands how much God loves him – so much that He sent His Son to die on the cross – and resurrect Him three days later. He doesn’t just know facts about God; he knows God.
