TB case at town school

A PUPIL at one of Doncaster’s biggest schools has contracted tuberculosis sparking concerns that hundreds of other children could have caught the disease.

Public health bosses have confirmed that a pupil is being treated for the infection and a screening programme is underway in a bid to stop the outbreak spreading.

About 300 pupils and several members of staff at the school who may have come into close contact with the child are being offered a test to identify whether they have also been affected.
