The Division One side ran out 6-2 winners against Bessacarr, with the Championship outfit having to settle for a brace of consolation goals by Daniel Talbot and Harrison Reed.

But there was no such joy for fellow Division One outfit Balby Athletic who slumped to a 5-1 defeat at home to Premier Division Stainforth.

Fancied Bentley Top Club, for whom Gregg Aspinall, Mac Attard and Raheem Walker netted, also booked their place in the last eight with a 3-1 win over Division One strugglers FC Little Un.

Daniel White was the hat trick hero as lowly Premier Division side Carpenters Arms put paid to tittle-chasing Championship club Eve’s Trust Dynamo’s hopes when posting a 4-2 win. Dave Mannifield also netted.

Division Three leaders Real Bridge (Mark Cooper) made high-flying Premier Division Rossington Club work hard for their 2-1 home win.

Second-placed Wheatley Club also went down fighting (2-1) at home to Championship side Wheatsheaf (Doncaster).

Canal Tavern, who have a game in hand, took over from Bentley Top Club at the top after beating FC Glasshouse by the odd goal in five in the only Premier Division game of the day. Darren Fell bagged a brace and Brett Thomas also chipped in.

Third-placed C&R Sports Bar closed the gap on the top two in the Championship after dishing out a 6-0 beating to Willaspoons. Niall Horstead led the way with a hat trick with Martin West (2) and Shea McConville also netting.

Fourth-placed Dunscroft won 3-1 at Bay Horse & Bar.

Michael Church starred with a hat trick as Rosehill Press bagged their first league win of the season when beating fellow strugglers Auckley 4-2. Robert Lee also netted.

Ryecroft Rovers continue to set the pace at the top of Division One after beating second-bottom Rossington Legion (Ryan Clegg) 4-1.

Rhino's United beat Balby Academy 3-0.

FC Ivanhoe came crashing back to earth after hitting the heights last week when going down 6-2 at Parklands Spartans whose goals were shared between Ryan Evans (2), Steffan Cairns, Lee Isaac and Josh Eaves.

Leopard retained top spot in Division Two despite losing 2-0 at Team 23.

Three Horseshoes, who have three games in hand, closed to within a point of them following their 4-3 win at AFC Schoolboy on the back of goals by Ryan Malee (2), Phil Hare and Kyle Clarke.

Palfrey’s Lodge also kept their title hopes alive with a 7-1 win over Highwayman. Chris Liddle and Scott Drabble both hit a double with Kai Hannan, Slawomir Ostrowski and Patriyk Zimer also found the net.

FC Cumberland beat lowly Eden Arms by the odd goal in five with FC Parklands winning 2-0 away to bottom club Lokomotiv Danum.

Former leaders Loaded Sports, who have played more than the top two, moved level on points with Real Bridge and Wheatley Club after beating second-bottom Stag Inn Rovers.

Sesku Miners Community and visiting Bechers Brook (Michael Farrow, Robert Farrow and Paul Barber) battled out a 3-3 draw.
