The glamorous annual Aurora fashion show raised a grand total of £15,000 with a glitzy cat walk spectacular.

Doncaster Dome was packed to the rafters as users of the district’s Aurora Wellbeing centres at Mexborough, Worksop, Scott Lane in Doncaster and Doncaster Royal Infirmary, and local cancer doctors, modelled outfits from local shops.

The show was organised and models were choreographed by Vanessa Colley, daughter of Aurora co-founder, Val Lepedat and Jenny Siswick, of the business Team Catwalkers.

Aurora fundraiser, Emma Mckay, described the event as “amazing” and added: “What a great two-and-a-half hour show. It was presented in 25 sections by award-winning actor, Dean Andrews, and former Calendar news presenter, Carolyn Hodgson.”

She further added: “I must thank everyone who contributed to this, including event sponsors, Vauxhall dealership Perrys, of Wheatley Hall Road.

“On the night £15,000 was raised, but with further donations it is hoped last year’s target of £17,500 will be exceeded.”

Anyone who wants to donate further can text 70070 and put in the body of the text AWBC15, stating how much they wish to donate.
