Stay away warning as Doncaster moorland blaze moves into fifth day

Fire crews have been at Hatfield Moors since Sunday night and are expected to be at the scene for days to come as they continue to tackle a huge fire which has devastated acres of moorland.
The fire broke out on Sunday afternoon and has burned continuously since with crews working around the clock to tackle the flames.

Hide AdA spokesman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “For residents, again we ask you to keep windows and doors closed due to smoke in the area.
“Please do not visit the moors. We will be remaining on scene for some time.”
Drivers on the nearby M18 and M180 motorways have also been warned to take extra care due to reduced visibility.
The high levels of peat on the moor mean the blaze could burn for weeks.
