Firefighters were called out to deal with several fires around South Yorkshire last night.

Arsonists set fire to a settee in a park off Grayson Road in Wingfield at 8.40pm.

A crew from Rotherham Central station attended and used water back packs to put the blaze out.

Several wheelie bins went up in flames in Bushfield Road, Wath, at about 11pm.

Dearne firefighters spent 15 minutes tackling the blaze. The cause is under investigation.

Arsonists set fire to a garden shed at a home in East Bank Road, Arbourthorne, at 12.30am this morning.

A crew from Mansfield Road Station spent 15 minutes putting the blaze out.
