Brodsworth Hall and Gardens

Lose yourself in the magic of an Alice in Wonderland-themed Easter.

Cusworth Hall

An Easter Eggstravaganza offers something cracking for all the family throughout the Easter holidays. There is an egg hunt, egg decorating and all manner of other seasonal activities. Normal entry charges apply. For more information, call 01302 782342.

Wentworth Castle

Join the hunt for the Wentworth Wabbit who’ll be bounding around the gardens and children’s playground from April 6 to 9 between 10am and 5pm. There’ll also be the chance to try your hand at egg rolling and egg decorating.

Bolsover Castle

Can you crack the clues to complete an egg-citing trail? Find the missing eggs around the grounds to be rewarded with an Easter prize. Takes place from this Sunday until April 15. Call 0870 3331183 to find out more.

Harewood House

Head to Harewood House, near Leeds, from April 6 to 9 to celebrate Easter traditions from across the globe - there will be Easter trails in the bird garden, an egg hunt in the extensive grounds, and chocolate eggs being made in the traditional way by Harewood House’s chef.

Abbey House Museum

Don your bunny ears and enjoy making your very own Easter outfit on April 4 between 10am to 4pm at the museum, in Kirkstall, near Leeds. Call 0113 2395492 for more information.

Easter holiday activities


The Point: Enjoy a series of illustration workshops with top children’s illustrator Liz Million between April 2 and April 5. There will be two sessions per day. Free admission. Children aged between ten and 16 should contact Lesley Hurworth on 01302 831582. Sessions run each day from 10.30am to 12.30pm and 1 to 3pm. Artwork completed in the workshops will then be put on display.


The Keepmoat Kick off your holidays with soccer sessions for boys and girls aged three to seven will take place at the stadium from 9am to midday from April 2 to 5 and April 10 to 12. For more information, call 01302 370777. Sessions cost £5.


Magna, Sheffield Road, Templeborough A series of events and activities throughout the Easter Holidays. Egg-splat workshops from April 2 to 6 at 11am, 1pm and 3pm, slime-making at 11.30am and 2pm from April 9 to 13.

Helping hand this Easter

EGGS-TRAORDINARY efforts from staff at the Holiday Inn will see eggs delivered to children at the Doncaster Royal Infirmary’s Children’s Ward.

The team at the hotel, off junction 36 of the A1, are asking for Easter egg donations to be dropped off at their reception until Monday.

To show your support for the cause, take an Easter egg, of any size.

Balby-based funeral directors J Steadman and Sons is calling on members of the public to donate Easter eggs at its Balby Road office.

They will then share the donations between care units and homes in the Doncaster area. In previous years, they have praised the amazing generosity of Doncaster residents.

The appeal is open for any donations until Tuesday.
