Crowds of Aurora supporters braved the blustery weather to take part in the charity’s sixth annual fun run on Sunday, raising over £1,000.
Runners, walkers and those in prams and wheelchairs all completed the four kilometre course around Doncaster Lakeside to raise funds for the local cancer charity.
Moorend’s Pete Andrews, aged 28, who crossed the line first, said: “I’ve done the race a few times and it’s a nice charity to support. It was windy but it’s a very nice course.
Fundraiser Emma McKay said: “It’s been a successful day - one that we hope we can build on year on year. We hope that next year will be bigger and better and even more successful. We are overwhelmed by all the support we have received.”
