The shortlisted businesses have been announced for this year’s Select Lincolnshire Food, Drink and Hospitality Awards 2015.

The winners will be announced at a special award ceremony on Tuesday February 3, at The White Heather, Caenby Corner, starting at 6pm.

In total there are 14 award categories, including best pub, restaurant, producer and holiday accommodation of the Year. The most popular category is The People’s Choice award, which generated over 1,600 votes this year from shoppers and food lovers across the country. This figure is up 266 per cent from last year, and one lucky voter will win a free local Lincolnshire food hamper kindly donated by Lincolnshire Co-op.

Gillian Richardson, Business Development Manager for Select Lincolnshire for Food, said: “This year we had an overwhelming number of award entries, all from very deserving food and drink producers across Lincolnshire. This, in itself, is proof of the diverse and high quality food and farming industry in the county.

“Every year we look to recognise and reward the people behind Lincolnshire’s billion pound food and farming sector. The judging panel found it really difficult to shortlist the entries for each award category, because every application had its own strengths.

“We’d like to wish everyone who submitted an application, and wish the shortlisted businesses the very best of luck. Winners will be announced at the award ceremony on Tuesday 3 February, you can follow our live tweets with #LFDA15.”

Councillor Colin Davie, Executive Member for Economic Development, at Lincolnshire County Council said: “Lincolnshire produces some of the finest food and drink in the country, and these awards are an opportunity to highlight all the county has to offer. It’s also a chance to showcase the first-class pubs, restaurants and tea rooms we have to entice visitors. I wish all of this year’s nominees the best of luck.”
