How important are knowledgeable and experienced staff when selling your house?
Buying and selling a home is one of the most important, and often stressful, times in people’s lives.
A recent poll found that buying a house ranked more stressful than bankruptcy, divorce and even the death of a loved one.
Some factors that contribute to the stress are the risk of it falling through, the huge sums of money at stake, endless phone calls and difficult estate agents.
So, as estate agents what can be done to make the process as stress free as possible for our clients?
Here at Crucible we recently conducted a survey asking our clients what the most important factor is when choosing an agent is.
The most popular result was having knowledgeable and experienced staff.
The age old saying that people buy people still rings true, especially within this industry.
Richard Branson was once asked what the most important part of his business empire is. His answer was staff. “Clients do not come first, employees come first. If you take care of your employees they will take care of your clients”.
At Crucible we firmly believe that having staff that are conversant within the area they work, combined with knowledge, skills and experience, is vitally important and reassuring for clients.
With our new flagship branch opening at Hillsborough imminently we felt it was vital to have experienced staff working there.
Our branch manager has over ten years selling houses in Hillsborough and our valuer and sales negotiators each have over seven years industry experience and are knowledgeable about the area and understand thoroughly the property market in Hillsborough. For us, that is a priceless commodity.
Recognising staff that go above and beyond is also vitally important in any business and gives employees that sense of recognition and acknowledgement that they have exceeded in their role.
We have quarterly awards for our staff that go above and beyond and reward them for doing so.
As most of our staff live and work within the local community it is important for us that they feel part of the community.
We regularly hold and sponsor events, fun days and other community driven projects that our staff and clients alike can be a part of and feel passionate about.
“Knowledge gained through experience is far superior and many times more useful thank bookish knowledge” – How true is this for estate agents?
