Rossington Heritage Day takes place on Sunday giving residents the chance to find out more about where they live, what it was like, how it is now and a little about what it will become and how to get involved in activities.
It will be held at Rossington Miners Welfare between 10.30am-3.30pm on November 15.
A spokesman said: “Doncaster Archives will be there to tell you about the services they offer and we hope to have historical items to show you.
“There will be items containing well over 3,000 photos to show you, as well as one of the banners from Rossington Colliery.”
Those taking part include Rossington Arts, Scouts, Beavers, Guides, Brownies, the Community Band, the History Club, the Archaeology Field Team, Rossington Hall, sports clubs, Rossington Main football club, Rossington Hall Golf Development, Doncaster Family History Society and there will also be face painting and other children’s activities.
Entry is free.
