A CARING youngster has raised hundreds of pounds for an Armed Forces charity to mark his enthusiasm for the Army and war-time history. Eight-year-old Marc Luke went around his town of Stainforth and Holy Family Catholic Primary School to get donations for Help for Heroes.
The youngster wanted to support the troops because of his passion for history and also because his great-great grandfather Benjamin Moyle served during World War Two.
The young Stainforth fundraiser said: “I like the Army because they are brave and I like reading stories about World War One and World War Two.”
His bucket collecting raised over £262 which was presented to the Army during a recruiting ceremony.
