Headteachers from schools across Doncaster were due to meet today to launch a unique partnership aimed at helping to get the best out of the town’s teachers and pupils.
All of Doncaster’s primary and special schools have been invited to become part of the Doncaster Teaching School Alliance: Partners In Learning, which aims to give all Doncaster children equal education through local schools working in partnership.
Kirk Sandall Infant Academy and Bentley High Street Primary School were two of 150 schools across the country to be granted teaching school status earlier this year.
Headteachers Janet Foster and Janis James invited other schools to join together to form a partnership which works to raise standards for all primary school children across Doncaster.
The programme allows outstanding schools the chance to work with other partners to deliver support for teachers at other schools.
The launch event was taking place today at the Mary Woollett Centre, formerly the Carr House Centre, where more than 50 schools were attending to learn more about the development.
