A HEADTEACHER has spoken of her school’s “devastation” after one of its pupils was found hanged from a shower rail.

Shoppers watched in horror as 17-year-old Baojie Feng was taken in a body bag from an upstairs flat in Frenchgate - near to the Humpty Dumpty clothing shop - and into a private ambulance.

Mum Huime Yan formally identified her teenage son, the opening into his inquest was told.

It is believed that Baojie, who was a pupil at Hall Cross Upper School, hanged himself.

Pippa Dodgshon, the secondary school’s headteacher, told the Free Press: “We are all devastated by what has happened.

“Our thoughts are with his family and friends.”

Doncaster Coroner’s Court heard that the teenager was discovered in the bathroom of the property at around noon on December 6.

Coroner Nicola Mundy adjourned the inquest pending further tests.
