TWO village pubs and a chippie are being monitored following complaints about noise nuisance.
Residents at a recent Bolton-on-Dearne crime and safety meeting heard that there had been a catalogue of incidents at the Angel pub, the Collingwood and outside the Bolton Fisheries over recent months.
These included assaults, noise and nuisance in the early hours, and Barnsley Council’s tasking officer for the Dearne Allan Sneddon said the Environment Regulatory Unit is now involved.
He told the meeting that although it is not considered there have been sufficient incidents to warrant action being taken at present, the situation is being closely monitored.
Should problems persist then the ERU will act, he said. Any incidents should be reported to the local police so that they can be logged.
